Announced on June 23, 2015: A new agreement with the Agency Group Ltd.

Announced on June 30, 2015: Signed as supporting act to Swedish Melodic Death Metal giants In Flames from Gothenburg on all Scandinavian dates this coming fall.

Announced on July 2, 2015: A new album release ‘It All Ends’ will be out on August 28, 2015 on Razzia Records.

Three fantastic achievements, three fantastic musicians, Jonas Pedersen (vocal/bass), Jesper Karlsson (drums) and Marcus Witold Östensson (guitar) and we can only warmly congratulate Black Temple to a tremendous three part success.

Read more about what’s going on the band’s facebook-and home pages according to the following:

More personal impressions on the coming album, all new media coverage and the major meeting with Black Temple and In Flames at KB in Malmö on October 23, 2015, will naturally follow. Tickets are already secured at early morning relase hour from a crappy mobile phone with really poor coverage…happiness and it will be loads of fun!!

Black Temple – continous victories!

New material was promised via the bands Facebook posts. Not only new material with an after taste of wanting more were thrown in our faces on Friday March 28. These guys are the most original and the most barrier crushing band of all we’ve seen in the region over the last year and of all we will experience during the festival. Variations from fast to slow with patience and fantastic sound waves gives content to what we think is classified as ‘stoner’. Do we really need to classify all we hear or can we just say that this is freaking fantastic Black Temple doing a freaking hard work for an all too small crowd. Still, their performance proves they aren’t effected by how many are there, ten or a thousand, it’s a hard work done with a will of giving it all. Impressive short soundcheck of close to ten minutes and then Marcus Witold Östensson screams ‘Då kör vi!’ (Let’s gooo!). We’re really happy to have been at this gig and look forward so much to a new album!

Odyssey/Black Temple – a working victory!

We came there to see Odyssey perform in a name change event. ‘It’s the fourth time we change names and each time it feels better’, Jonas Pedersen stated. Odyssey is now ‘Black Temple’. I can see the identity problem of the name Odyssey with a number of bands with this name all over the world. To search for Odyssey songs at streaming suppliers takes some time to hit correctly. ‘Black Temple’ as a name sounds right, the band logo is again stylish and if the sound is better…? Well, it was cruel, hard and noisy as Odyssey and Black Temple continues to work hard and collects another victory this evening.

Marcus Witold Östensson (guitars), Jonas Pedersen – (bass, vocals) and Jesper Karlsson (drums) give it all they have. Body and soul. This ‘hard noise rock’ gave me body ache like the worst gym session. I haven’t had my head ringing and my body aching from a live performance like this in a long time. Songs like ‘Wicked Witch’ and Abysmal Despair’ from the CD with the same name (2012) gives me the feeling of just wanting more.

More is to come…and to have the rumour confirmed that Black Temple will be the supporting act to Bombus on their European Tour during Nov-Dec this year only makes this heavy metal weekend even more perfect. Let my head keep ringing to rememer this great weekend! Another t-shirt reference must also be made here. I could only happily notice that Jesper Karlsson on drums started the concert in a Frank Zappa t-shirt (picture of ‘Chunga’s Revenge’, 1970), which triggers ideas and bridging over to other personally interesting subjects for this blog. Many thanks to Black Temple and the best of good luck for the coming tour in Europe!!
